The Wheeler Lake Venetian Boat Parade
Saturday, July 4th - 6:30 pm judging begins in the Big Bay
Entering your craft? DM Kristine Cominsky on Facebook with your family name and boat theme.
Judging will be based on the following:
Design: Artistic imagination, color combination, focal point grouping
Construction Details: Workmanship, material used, lettering, use of natural materials
General Effect: Beauty and overall effect, audience reaction
Theme: Communication of theme in design and special effects
Overall, have fun!!!
WLA 20th Annual Golf Outing
Hold the date for the 20th Annual Golf Outing!!!
Additional information will be provided when it gets a little closer to the event.
2026 Ice Fishing Jamboree
The 2026 Ice Fishing Jamboree is approaching fast and will take place on Saturday February 21st. This event has been a huge success due to the tremendous support of our lake community with all proceeds benefiting lake projects that include fish stocking and weed control.
Once again, we will offer two events on the same day. The ice fishing tournament will be held on the lake and the main event will be held at McCauslin Brook golf course. Our 4th annual meat raffle will run from 10:00 – 3:00 at the golf course with live music by the Paul Hanna Trio from 3:00 – 7:00. Food and beverages will be served all day at the golf course.
To guarantee another successful event, we’re asking for your support in the form of donations. In past years baskets, grills and electronics have gone very well, but if you’re not sure what to donate, cash donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to support this great cause, please contact one of the committee members.
